Educate
Through partnerships with medical clinics and nonprofits we educate service providers, pregnant women, parents and other workers about the legal rights of caregivers in the workplace.
Empower & Represent
We empower workers to express and exercise their workplace rights to maintain their employment; First Shift also represents or refers clients whose rights have already been violated.
Collaborate
We collaborate with policy advocates to give voice to the specific problems faced by low-wage workers trapped between the demands of work and family.
